Firestorm

Reflections on Spiritual Awakening

"The dark clouds gathered at a snail's pace,
taunting me with their resolve..."

It can happen to anyone - a seemingly benign melancholy slowly descends upon your life. There is a softness to it that seems familiar, and as you become comfortable with it, it starts asking innocent little questions like, "What is God?" and "Who is loveable?" In trying to answer these questions, your world is turned upside down. You begin questioning everything you believe, everything you've been taught. Eventually, you reach a place where you understand that God is not interested in who you think you are. This process has been called by many names throughout time, I call it Firestorm, because the heat is intense and there is no escaping it.

This is a story - told in poems, pictures, and prose - of an unexpected spiritual awakening. You can order the book here. Or you can view it as an eBook here.
